Tarot as a Tool

Tarot cards, help one to think about ones self. What's your card?
By my birthday, mine is Justice.
By my name, mine is the Fool. One of my favorite cards. The Fool is not foolish, the fool just doesn't care what other people think, to put it simply.

Angeles Arrien's "Tarot Handbook" is the best reference book on Tarot I have ever read. No fortune telling mumbo jumbo, just deep references to Jung, universal symbolism and deep personal reflection. The deck she uses, the Thoth deck, was designed by Aleister Crowley and painted by Lady Frieda Harris, via ancient Egyptian texts. It is a cross-cultural deck if ever there was one with symbols from Egypt, Greece, Eastern, Christian and on and on. If only our planet had a religion that could claim all of these influences, one that drew from all people with the primary focus being truth, beauty and humanity.

I must start doing readings again. It's a form of tangible meditation.
And if you're not into any of this, it makes a great party game.
Later, fairies.
